Pietro Lombardo, Architect
Pietro Lombardo (1435 - 1515) was an Italian sculptor and architect, a prominent member of the Venetian Renaissance. As a sculptor, he sculpted many tombs in Venice with the help of his sons Tullius and Antonio. Among them those of the doges Pasquale Malipiero and Pietro Mocenigo. His most important works in Venice are the Renaissance church of Santa Maria dei Miracoli (1489), the church of San Giobbe (1493) and the Scuola Grande di San Marco (1495).
