Burano
Burano is a town of 2,270 inhabitants made up of four islands in the northern lagoon of Venice. It is part of the municipality of Venice. It is connected by a bridge to the island of Mazzorbo, which has become a kind of appendix. Burano enjoys a great gastronomic tradition and notable lace craftsmanship.
The heart of the town is Piazza Baldassare Galuppi, the only square in the city, named after the well-known composer of the 18th century. The church of San Martino dominates the square, today it is the only church on the island.
