The Palazzo dei Camerlenghi, in Renaissance style, was the seat of the magistracies related to the finances of the Republic of Venice.
Rialto is the oldest inhabited center of Venice. It is part of the districts of San Marco and San Polo. The area is known for the market and the bridge of the same name. The origin of the name derives from the Latin rivus altus, which means very deep channel, in reference to the current Grand Canal, whose banks constitute the Rialto Islands.
