Some recommendations and tips for a visit to Venice.

Save costs and time by booking transport and museum passes through the Venezia Unica Website; to benefit from discounts, you must book at least one month ahead of arrival. The on-line Venezia Unica allows you to pre-book transport passes, tickets for civic museums and public toilets with variable discounts.

Eighteen of Venice's churches each charge a €3,50 entrance fee. But purchase a Chorus Pass at any of the churches participating in the scheme which costs only €14,00 and you can visit this churches during a one-year period.

If you want visit the Palazzo Ducale, buy the Museums of St. Mark's Square Pass, a single ticket valid for Doge's Palace, Museo Correr, Museo Archeologico Nazionale and Monumental Rooms of the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana. This pass is valid for 3 months and allows one entrance in each museum.

The Rolling Venice Card offers discounts in transport and at the entrances of the main attractions of Venice. It is valid for tourists between 14 and 29 years old. Rolling Venice is a discount card dedicated to young people who want to visit Venice with complete freedom. On the Venezia Unica website you can buy Rolling Venice for 6 euros. Rolling Venice can also be purchased upon arrival in Venice at the Venezia Unica Sales Points. The card is valid for 1 year.

You can match your visit to Venice with one of the major events held in the city throughout the year. The most important event in the city is definitely the Venice Carnival, which takes place in February or early March, which receives thousands of tourists. But there are others of great interest.

The easiest way to discover the city is walking aimlessly, letting go. The best neighborhoods to get lost in Venice is undoubtedly the Dorsoduro and Cannaregio, lesser frequented by tourists.

And finally respects the Venetian population, uses decent clothes, always stay right on the narrow streets, do not stop on bridges and in Vaporetti sets the bag down. The steps of churches, bridges and monuments are not picnic areas. Take advantage of public parks for rest.
