Venice Train Station

The Venice Santa Lucia Train Station is the main station train travelers arrive and depart from in Venice. It is a modern building in the main city and is connected to the Grand Canal. The station is a great entrance to the antique city of Venice.

It is one of the largest stations in Italy and the ninth in terms of passenger flow. It takes its name from the church of Santa Lucia, demolished to make way for the station itself. The station connects with Mestre, where it branches off into lines for Milan, Trento, Trieste and Udine.
